SMD LEDs are surface mounted devices. The PLCC6 have a design of 5,5 x 5mm. Because of the radiation angle of 120° they are used to illuminate areas. These LEDs have the advantage that the 3 built-in LED chips can be controlled separately. UV-light is an electromagnetic radiation, invisible for peoples, which illuminate fluorescent items/colours.
